Administer US and Canada employee benefits programs such life and disability insurance plans, 401k, RRSP, as well as Voluntary plans.
Assists the Benefits and Compensation Leader with ongoing assessment with our Brokers to ensure best in class benefits plans.
Communicate new plans and/or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other materials for communicating to employees.
Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely payments of Invoices.
Collaborate with C&B Leader to ensure company compliance with ERISA, federal, state, and local laws, including required notice distribution, audits of benefits plans & deductions, and ensuring reporting requirements are met timely.
Work directly with our Carriers to ensure approvals are processed timely and Payroll receives the necessary information.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent planning and organizing skills. Thorough technical knowledge of US government regulations, benefit program trends and prevailing practices.
Excellent computer skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS. Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a benefits role within global environment. In depth experience managing LOA, FMLA, and Workers Comp
